Happy Monday

Not proud of it, man enough to say it... but I’ve been burned on a Micro SaaS deal.

If only there was a tool to audit the business before you bought it.

Wait. We have ideas.

In Todays Edition, TL;DR

  • The $80K wire transfer nobody should be making blind

  • 500+ sites and directories to submit your startup to

  • 15 million Americans on GLP-1s and nobody built the calculator

  • Claude is coming after Lovable, nobody is safe

The Monday Idea

💡 Skeleton: A pre-purchase audit platform for micro-SaaS acquisitions

The Problem: Acquire.com and Flippa list hundreds of micro SaaS businesses every month. Founders and serial indie hackers buy them as cash flow assets. First time buyers use them as a shortcut into ownership. My problem is that the listing owners usually have skeletons in the closet.

Revenue looks clean on a screenshot, apparently theres little churn, or the codebase "just needs minor maintenance." Right…

In reality the top customer accounts for 40% of MRR. A $10M deal gets lawyers, accountants, and a full QoF report. A $90K tool gets a Loom walkthrough and a Stripe screenshot.

🛠 Solution: Build a pre purchase audit platform for micro SaaS deals. Paste in a listing link. Get back a structured report before you wire anything. Think Carfax for SaaS. Except instead of mileage and accidents, you're getting:

  • Revenue verified against actual bank statements (not screenshots)

  • Churn broken out by monthly vs. annual subscribers

  • A developer's codebase assessment in 48 hours

  • A written recommendation: buy, negotiate, or walk

The Business Model:

  • Basic Financials: Revenue verification, churn analysis, MRR breakdown. What every buyer needs before anything else.

  • Financials + Full audit. Everything above plus codebase review, customer interviews, legal compliance, and a written risk recommendation.

The Exit: Acquire.com, Flippa, or MicroAcquire would each pay multiples for this. You become the trust layer inside their marketplace. They're currently a two sided market with a credibility problem.

Speaking of not flying blind 👇🏻

if you're launching a startup anytime soon, we built a directory of 500+ places to submit it and start growing organically.

The Validation Filter

Why Build it Now?

  • The platforms won't build this. Acquire.com doesn't conduct this level of review. Flippa's $1,500 add on excludes code review and earns commission on closed deals. Their incentive is volume, not protection.

  • Nobody owns the niche. Centurica targets $500K+ deals. WebAcquisition is quote based consulting. No fixed price, full stack audit exists for any Micro SaaS deals under $200K.

  • Buyers are getting burned publicly. I cant tell you how many posts Ive seen of people getting burned on these deals. Flippa doesn't even verify listings under $50K which is most of their listings…

  • The market is accelerating. SaaS deals on Flippa up 73.5% in one year. Acquisition multiples jumped from 4x to 5–7x ARR. More money at stake per deal means more pain when it goes wrong.

The Idea Scorecard

How I’d Test this in a Week

  1. Post in r/microacquisitions. "Would you pay $500 for a pre purchase SaaS audit: revenue verification, churn, basic code flag?" Honestly the negative comments will be more valuable so don’t be scared to post.

  2. Pull three listings on Acquire.com. Build one sample report manually. This is your demo.

  3. DM 10 public micro SaaS buyers. Offer the sample free for a 20 minute call. If they take it, I think youve figured out the problem is real.

  4. Charge for the second report. Two people paying $500 before you've automated anything means you have a business.

Napkin Note Ideas

💡The GLP-1 weight loss projection calculator. 70 million Americans on or considering Ozempic. Zero good tools to answer the one question they all have.

The Problem: GLP-1 drugs. You all know of Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro. these are the fastest growing drug category in history. Over 15 million Americans are currently prescribed one.

Every single one of them wants to know the same thing: how long until I hit my goal weight? Their doctor gives them a shrug. Google gives them forum posts. Nobody built the tool.

This is a traffic machine + Money printer waiting to be turned on.

The Idea: A simple calculator. Enter your current weight, goal weight, starting dosage, and medication. Get back a projected timeline based on clinical trial averages. Week by week, with a chart. Clean, visual, shareable.

The Business Model:

  • AdSense on a health topic = premium CPM rates. Health keywords pay $3–8 RPM vs. $1–2 for general content.

  • Email capture before results: these are high value leads. People actively managing a health journey will open your emails.

  • Affiliate links to telehealth providers (Hims, Ro, LifeMD, Function Health) offering GLP-1 prescriptions. Commissions run $50–150 per converted lead.

  • Build companion calculators on the same domain: monthly cost, dosage escalation schedule, insurance savings, and own the niche entirely.

Guys.. search volume for GLP-1 related terms has grown over 900% in three years and is still climbing. Build it with Base44 or Replit in an afternoon. Then forget about it.
